CERTIFIED PROJECT MANAGER (PMP)

Kikoda is seeking a PMI-Certified Project Manager with IT experience to join our powerhouse team. The ideal candidate will be able to lead multiple projects that would include the development and implementation of new applications or system enhancements/ functionality for our customers.

The Project Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of small to large sized software development projects and ensure that goals and objectives are completed within time and budget parameters. Local candidate is preferred due to occasional on-site requirements.

Required Experience:

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful IT Project Management experience
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience with project-management frameworks in a software-development environment including writing statement of work, project plans, detail design documents
  • Knowledge of tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers
  • Experience with management of quality assurance and testing efforts on software
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Experience:

  • General working knowledge with SQL
  • Knowledge of typical State and Local Government processes
  • Successfully implemented projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) desired but not required
TECHNICAL LEAD / SENIOR DEVELOPER

Kikoda is seeking an experienced technical lead/senior developer to join our powerhouse team.

As the Technical Lead for one of our teams, you will take charge of the end-to-end development process, collaborating closely with a small team of developers, designers, and product owners. Your primary goal will be to ensure the successful and timely delivery of the project, meeting high-quality standards, and exceeding customer expectations.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Must be comfortable with, and capable of, communicating project specifics with client leadership, Kikoda leadership, and development team members. Must be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide strong technical direction, set clear expectations, and promote best practices with the development team to achieve optimal performance and results.
  • Architecture and Design: Collaborate with product owners and designers to translate product requirements into scalable and innovative technical solutions.
  • Hands-on Development: Lead by example through hands-on coding and problem-solving. Write high-quality, clean, and efficient code as needed, contributing to the development process.
  • Cloud and Automation: Work with and grow an AWS infrastructure, using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, to ensure scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Technical Experience: Strong firsthand experience in one or more of AWS, Expo, CDK/Terraform, TypeScript, and React a plus
Help Desk Technician (Onsite)

Kikoda is seeking an experienced Help Desk Technician to join our powerhouse team. Due to the nature of this position, only local candidates able to work onsite will be considered.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to perform the following:

  • Provide technical support to internal and external clients within SLA defined contractual obligations.
  • Ensure system availability with preventative and proactive monitoring and maintenance activities.
  • Manage and maintain various enterprise applications’ usage, licenses, and access.
  • Work with clients to troubleshoot user environments.
  • Research new technologies, trends, and hardware aimed at improving efficiency.
  • Continual professional development through research, training and practical use of skills.
  • Track, update, troubleshoot and manage all company equipment, hardware, networks, and access.
  • Implement, manage, and upgrade systems and networking resources.
  • Maintain network security for company and clients.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Provide employee system setup and configuration and troubleshoots related issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with clients in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively and convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively.
  • Exceptional working experience with desktop and end-user support triaging and solving technical issues with hardware, software, or general systems issues.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 30 pounds or more.

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge and experience of the full network stack (routing, switching, VLANs, network design and addressing, DNS, etc).
  • Experience with Linux and Windows infrastructure.
  • Experience building and managing Active Directory domains, and the tools in/around AD such as Group Policy.
  • Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, Service Desk, HPSM, monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Nagios, Zabbix, ManageEngine), etc.
  • Experience scripting repeatable Support tasks with languages such as PowerShell (or Batch), Bash, Ruby, Node.js, Perl, etc.
  • Experience deploying and/or managing resources and access to resources in AWS,
  • Experience with modern software development tools, including JIRA, GitHub, etc.
