Kikoda’s Winter Playlist 2022

This winter marks the six–year anniversary since the start of Kikoda. Over that time, a lot of hard work and collaboration helped get us to where we are today, but music helped set the score and bring us together.

Even as our team has embraced a hybrid workforce we have enjoyed celebrating our unique music tastes along the way. Whether that is seeing who is listening to what in our company Discord, or sharing recommendations in our #music Slack channel, a lot of us enjoy working along to our favorite songs. In recognizing the end of the year and our company’s six–year anniversary, we asked staff to reflect on their favorite songs of the past five years and share a bit about their choices.

Beth Owen | Head of Marketing and Creative Services

My Baby Just Cares for Me” by Nina Simone
This song makes me stop and do my groove dance every time I listen to it! Nina Simone is the High Priestess of Soul and a national treasure.

Jake Hazlip | Enterprise Support Specialist

“Abracadabra” by Eagles of Death Metal
It’s a really good remake. I found it by accident, and I keep replaying it when I’m driving.

Brandon Porter | Software Engineer

“Beth” by KISS
“In case of any winter weddings: Something old.”
